What is the European Computer license (ECDL)?
It is a certificate recognized in all Europe that attests computer science competences, it is demanded in many public concourses and can be an excellent qualification to add on your curricula to privately-owned companies.

What do I have do to obtain the European Computer License (ECDL)?
You must take seven practical examinations in a period of maximum three years. If you don´t pass, you can try again as many times you want. In order to carry out the examinations you must obtain a Skill Card that it is like a university booklet: every time you succeed, it will fill up and be stamped on one of the seven lines.

How much does it cost to obtain the European licenset?
There is an initial cost that is needed to obtain the Skill Card and then there is a fixed price for every examination (passed or failed).

Which are the 7 examinations that I will have to take?
1) Basic Concepts of information technology.
Basics of the structure and the functioning of a personal computer.
2) Use of the computer and management of files: Windows.
Practical knowledge of the basic functions of its operating system.
3) Document processing: Microsoft Word.
To create, edit and complete a text document and to apply additional functionalities to it.
4) Spreadsheet: Microsoft Excel.
To create and edit a calculation sheet, to use the basic arithmetical and logical functions and additional functionalities.
5) Data bases: Microsoft Access.
Knowlwdge of the fundamental concepts of data base and the ability to use them.
6) Instrument presentation: Microsoft Power Point.
To create presentations for various audiences and situations, to compose the text, to insert diagrams and images, to add special effects.
7) Computer science nets.
Use of the computer science nets in order to search information and to communicate.
